Former ASF performer in Broadway’s ‘My Fair Lady’

Two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz, who cut his teeth acting at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery, has signed on to the Broadway production of “My Fair Lady.”

Butz, will play Eliza Doolittle slacker father Alfred P. Doolittle, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor, who had a huge hit at ASF with “Lizard,” has been a series regular on both the Netflix series “Bloodline” and and Public Broadcasting series “Mercy Street.”

Butz won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.” He won his second Tony award for Best Actor in a musical in 2011 for “Catch Me If You Can,” playing Agent Carl Hanratty, Tom Hanks role in the movie.
